Valerian and Laureline, two special operatives for the space station of Alpha, have to protect the city from an evil force that threatens not only its existence, but the future of the universe.

The story was decent and I found it to be very enjoyable overall. Of course, the movie looked and sounded amazing in 4k in a home cinema. Like, holy crap did it look and sound good. it was one of the best visual treats I've seen in recent memory.

“Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” is shaping up to be one of the biggest flops of the year. Considered the most expensive independent film ever made, the $180 million sci-fi epic never recovered from its crash at the U.S. box office on its opening weekend and has under-performed in most overseas markets.
