Hyderabad: While there is still a lot of confusion among filmmakers whether to release films in theatres or OTT platforms, several films finally have decided to take the OTT route.
Here are a few Telugu movies that are all set to reach millions of screens through several digital platforms. Have a look:
Drushyam 2
The film, which is a remake of Malayalam film 'Drishyam 2', is a follow-up story to the hit film 'Drushyam'. Starring Venkatesh and Meena in the lead roles, the film revolves around how the family deals with the shocking incident in their life. The film is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video from November 25.
Romantic
The film which marks the debut of Puri Jagannadh's son Akash Puri, and is touted to be a romantic action entertainer. Written by Puri Jagannadh, the film is directed by Anil Paduri and produced by Puri Connects banner. The movie also stars senior actor Ramya Krishnan, Ketika Sharma, Mandira Bedi in prominent roles. The film is set to premiere on 'aha' from November 26.
Republic
'Republic', starring Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role, revolves around Abhi (Dharam Tej), an IIT gold medallist who gets pulled into the Indian Administrative Services. And as a District Collector, he confronts the newly-elected political establishment led by Vishakha Vani, who climbed the power ladder by contaminating Asia's largest freshwater lake on her way up. The film shows the interesting cold war between the politician and Sai Dharam Tej. The film will arrive on Zee5 on November 26.
BRO
The upcoming film 'BRO' will see actors Avika Gor and Naveen Chandra play siblings for the first time. The movie revolves around each of their lives and the sibling bonding between the two main characters. Directed by Karthik Thupurani, 'BRO' is bankrolled by producer JJR Ravichand under the banner of JJR Entertainments. The film will be made available for streaming on Sony Liv from November 26.
