Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is enjoying a great run at the box office worldwide. Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is getting closer to the Rs 250 crore-mark worldwide and is expected to cross the milestone in a few days. Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe released on November 4 and is still enjoying a great run at the theatres worldwide. The film is currently in its third week and is still earning a minimum of Rs 2 crore every day across the globe.
ANNAATTHE PICKS UP MOMENTUM AGAINSuperstar Rajinikanth gave his fans a perfect Diwali gift with the release of Annaatthe. The film is a family entertainer that explores the relationship between a brother and a sister, played by Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh. Annaatthe is high on emotion.
In its third week, Annaatthe has grossed Rs 230.35 crore worldwide and is still going strong. Taking to Twitter, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote, "#Annaatthe WW Box Office Week 1 - Rs 202.47 cr. Week 2 - Rs 26.32 cr. Week 3 Day 1 - Rs 1.56 cr. Total - Rs 230.35 cr (sic)."
Annaatthe is being lapped up by the audience in the B and C centres. The film has collected Rs 143.34 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. Manobala wrote, "#Annaatthe TN Box Office Week 1 - Rs 119.53 cr. Week 2 - Rs 22.52 cr. Week 3 Day 1 - Rs 1.29 cr. Total - Rs 143.34 cr (sic)."
CAST AND CREW OF ANNAATTHEAnnaatthe received negative reviews from critics. However, these responses haven't really affected the box office collection of the film. Apart from Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh, the film also features Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Abhimanyu Singh, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and Soori in important roles.
Annaatthe is produced on a massive scale by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. Cinematographer Vetri, editor Ruben and music composer D Imman form the technical crew.
