Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "Christmas In Harmony." The film, starring Ashleigh Murray and Luke James, premieres Friday night.
Hallmark fans are in for a treat, as this will be their first introduction to the film's stars. Both Murray and James are new to the network, though they might be recognized for their roles as Josie McCoy and Teen Sierra Samuels on "Riverdale" and Noah Brooks on "Star."
The film will also be a treat because it stars Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child fame) and Loretta Devine ("Family Reunion," "A Sweet Christmas Romance").
But what will happen in this film?
"A company merger pushes Harmony Matthews (Murray) out of a job at Suprasonic Records and back to her hometown," a synopsis reads. "Mama (Devine) couldn't be more thrilled to have Harmony back home and to help with the church's annual Holiday Hallelujah Chorus. Celebrity Melo D Star (Williams) is a client of Harmony's and threatens to leave unless Harmony is back."
However, while Harmony agrees and comes up with an idea to showcase Melo D. Star, things go south—and Harmony finds herself suddenly auditioning for the lead solo in the chorus—which is also directed by her former high school boyfriend Kyle Noah (James).
Still, time with her former beau may be what she needs, as Harmony not only starts to believe in love again, but finds her voice.
"By Christmas Eve, Harmony and Kyle could be singing a different tune and harmonizing in the key of love," the synopsis reads.
"Christmas in Harmony" airs Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
