Nalgonda: Irrigation officials lifted 10 crest gates of Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP) up to five feet height to release 80,900 cusecs of water downstream following heavy inflows. The project officials decided to open the crest gates with inflows going upto 1,37,239 cusecs.
The water level in the project touched 589.9 feet against it Full Reservoir Level of 590 feet. The current water storage level was 311.74 tmcs against gross storage capacity of 312 tmcs.
Water release to the right and left canals besides AMRP low level canal from NSP was also continuing. The total outflow was 1,26,864 cusecs.
