What are Inner planets in our solar system?

A planet whose orbit lies within the asteroid belt is called inner planets.
A terrestrial planet, telluric planet, or rocky planet is a planet that is composed primarily of silicate rocks or metals. Within the Solar System, the terrestrial planets are the inner planets closest to the Sun.

1.    Mercury,
2.    Venus,
3.    Earth,
4.    Mars.

Earth is the only one of the inner planets to liquid oceans but some believe that Mars once did as well.
